The Target Christmas Clearance is in full effect! All stores should have non-food items marked down to 50% off – this includes trees, ornaments, home decor, craft kits, household supplies and more (food items such as candy and snacks start out at 30% off). If you plan to shop these deals, some items to grab now at 50% off would be household items such as paper towels, cups, plates, napkins, etc. and the holiday diapers and wipes. These items almost always sell out first so you’ll only see these at 70% off if you’re lucky.
Be sure to keep your coupons close and check the Target Cartwheel app for even more savings to pair with these clearance items!
In general Target clearance follows a 3-3-2 schedule. This means that three days after the initial 50% off discount we should see everything move the next step down (70% off for non-food items and 50% off for food items). Then 3 days after that we’ll see it take the next step down (90% off for non-food items and 70% off for food items). Two days after that the items are marked salvage and non-food items are donated to the local Goodwill, while food items are often given to local food pantries.
This year the markdown schedule is predicted to go as follows:
- December 26th = 50% off (bagged candy and food items 30% off)
- December 30th – January 1st = 70% off (bagged candy and food items 50% off)
- January 3rd – January 4th= 90% off (bagged candy and food items 70% off)
If Target follows the same schedule as last year that means we should see 70% off starting as soon as Monday, maybe even Sunday!
What do you always stock up on at the Target Christmas Clearance event?
