I have some exciting news for you all! Safeway is once again looking to save us even more money – crazy right? They’ve already for the awesome Just For U program going and now they’re upping the ante with the new Fast Forward Debit Card.
The Fast Forward Debit Card is a great new system that earns 2X Gas Reward Points on groceries and gives you all the benefits of your Club Card and more:
- Big Rewards — You earn 2X Gas Reward Points when you pay for your groceries with Fast Forward. That’s a 20¢ per gallon Reward for every $100 spent.
- Cardless Checkout — It’s the easy way to pay. Just enter your phone number and PIN. No more fumbling with your purse, wallet or cards.
- Safe and Secure — Your personal information is kept completely confidential. Use your own computer to sign up through a secure, encrypted website and choose a PIN that only you know to keep your transactions protected.
- Sign-Up Bonus — Get a voucher good for 3X Gas Reward Points on a single transaction paid for with Fast Forward when you sign up.
I signed up for my card the other night and it was a super simple process. To begin, make sure you’ve got your driver’s license and your checking account information as you will need a few numbers to complete the enrollment process. Enter in your information and your account will be set up in no time, and will be ready to use in about 24 hours.
I personally like to test any product before I talk about it here, so I ran to Safeway as soon as my account was activated to give it a try. And what do you know – I LOVED it! First, can we talk about the gas rewards? I am a faithful Safeway gas customer as they always have the best prices and these rewards really add up! The last time I went to the pump I had $0.70 off, which is a huge savings on something that’s normally very hard to save on. Now with these 2x the rewards I can earn up to $1 off a gallon much quicker. Score!
My other favorite feature? The cardless checkout. Talk about convenience! Simply enter in your Club Card number and then choose the Fast Forward option at the register. Enter in your PIN number and all of your savings and payment are automatically deducted. It made everything super easy, quick and convenient and I loved not having to fumble for my wallet as I went through checkout. Double Score!
This new system is currently open to Sacramento area residents only, so if you’re a local definitely get on over here to enroll in this new program now!

no more going into my wallet trying to find my bank card.. oh yeah.. that’s perfect for me.. I just love it.. first, the just for you program, now, twice the fuel points.. they are making it so easy for me to save money and get gas on the cheap..
