I’m always on the lookout for unique watches – something that nobody else has, and something that expresses my personal sense of style.
For the most part, I’m pretty laid back – so my accessories are usually no fuss, no muss, with just a touch of shine. And that’s why I love unique watches from JORD.
Now, if you’ve been reading for a bit you’ll know that back in May of last year, JORD sent me this watch for Coach D. I loved it so much I almost kept it for myself! Alas, Coach D wears his all of the time, so stealing it has been tricky 😉
So when JORD asked if I would review one of their women’s timepieces, I JUMPED! Seriously, I was thrilled to be able to call one of these awesomely unique watches my own.
The watch I received is the Cora Purpleheart & Mother of Pearl watch – which, if I’m being honest, is one of the prettiest watches they make. The wood is a rich purpleish brown, with a beautiful fine grain. The band is highly polished and smooth, so no rough edges or snags are to be found. At first glance it looks almost velveteen, the colors are so deep and vibrant, yet it has a slight sheen that makes it really pop.
I love this particular shade of wood so much too, because it really seems to go with everything. It pairs really well with silver bangles or gold bracelets, and wears more like jewelry rather than any old watch. Yet, it’s still functional and keeps time perfectly.
The face of the watch is Mother of Pearl. So it’s just dainty and sparkly enough to set off the masculinity of the wood. The nice thing about Mother of Pearl is that there really isn’t any color that it doesn’t go with – so it’s easy enough to match this watch with just about any outfit, which for me is a huge plus. It’s basically a requirement that something go with everything for me to have it in my wardrobe, so this watch is a must have in my eyes.
