I think we can all agree, there’s just nothing like Mom’s home cookin’. It just tastes better, doesn’t it? For that reason I’ve asked my Mom to submit some of her favorite recipes for me to share with y’all each Monday. Let’s get cooking in the kitchen with Mom!
- 1 pint strawberries
- 1 pint blueberries
- 1 pint raspberries or blackberries
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
After washing all of your berries, hull and half the strawberries. Add each pint of berries to a large bowl, then add you balsamic vinegar and sugar. Toss to coat, stirring gently taking care not to break the berries. Place in the refrigerator to chill for an hour before serving. When your ready to eat, remove your berries from the refrigerator and give the dish a stir to redistribute the juices.
