Holy smokes! I can’t believe how much candy the girls brought in last night – I get a sugar buzz just thinking about it, LOL!
Because we were so fortunate to be able to Trick-or-Treat for all that loot, I always encourage the girls to participate in the Halloween Candy Buy Back Program. This program is pretty cool – participating dentists “buy” back kids’ Halloween candy at a scheduled event with either cash, coupons, toothbrushes, or creative exchanges. In turn, the dentists send the candy to Operation Gratitude who passes on the goodies to U.S. Military members deployed in harm’s way or other Military support groups.
So for us this is a win-win – I get some of that sugar out of the house, the kiddos get something in exchange and we get to pay it forward to our troops! Cool!
