Resolutions. Do you make them? I haven’t for the past couple of years, but I think 2014 is the year I get back on the wagon. Late last year I found myself falling for some some major frugal no-no’s due to convenience – and yikes! My wallet paid the price. So this year I’m going to resolve to set a grocery budget to help our family get back on track to spending wisely and strategically.
The first step for us is getting organized – and my new favorite tool is Favado, the friendly neighborhood grocery savings mobile app from Savings.com. Personalized just for you, the Favado money-saving app allows you to compare prices of items your shop for at local stores, set alerts for when items you buy go on sale and to create a grocery list complete with coupon matchups to help you stay organized. It takes all of the guess work out of comparing sale prices and has made my life so much easier when it comes to grocery shopping – and guess what? It’s FREE!
My favorite feature so far has been the grocery list. I am notorious for hand writing lists and then leaving them at home, thereby rendering them useless. That means I’m usually distracted which leads to overspending and buying items at the store that we didn’t really need. But with Favado I can quickly create my shopping list on the go, and I know exactly what is on sale and is the best deal. That has been a real time saver for me – and as we all know, time is money 🙂
Because Favado loves us as much as we love them, they have graciously agreed to give NorCal Coupon Gal readers the chance to win a $50 Visa gift card. Simply follow the directions below to get your entries in – you’ll have until January 17th at 9pm PST to enter.
So what are you waiting for – head on over here to get signed up with Favado and enter below to win!

Great idea, app, and giveaway !! Thanx !!
I don’t tend to make resolutions, but this year I decided to try to spend more one on one time with my daughter.
Trying the weight thing this year….no big weight loss goals…just want to get healthy.
That is definitely on my list too! 🙂
