Oh boy. A new addiction. I should have known when Bailey’s asked me to review their coffee creamer that I was in for trouble. I was never a regular coffee kind of girl, though I did like to indulge on occasion with an iced fancy frappe. But now that I’ve been introduced to the uber-delicious Bailey’s Coffee Creamer family, I may have to change my ways! It’s that good 🙂
Upon first deciding which flavor to try, I was impressed to find out they had quite the variety. I spied everything from French Vanilla to Creme Brule, Toffee Almond Cream, Chocolate and more. With ideas of recreating my favorite caramel coffee drink, I grabbed the Caramel flavor and decided to give it a try.
I took that baby home, popped some coffee in the Keurig machine and waited for my cup to brew over ice. Once it was done, I added a healthy serving of Bailey’s and sat down to enjoy my cup. First off I have to say, the flavor is very rich and has a nice depth of flavor that is not artificial in the least. It’s not overly sweet and presents as a real caramel flavor – not an impostor that leaves you feeling like you just drank a box of sugar. The consistency of the creamer is nice and thick, so you know it has plenty of REAL cream in it. I liked that you didn’t need a whole lot to flavor the drink and was quite pleased with my little concoction.
The creamer was in fact it was so good, we decided to make another frosting out of it for this week’s In The Kitchen With Mom Monday’s recipe. It provided just a hint of caramel and really added a nice depth to the frosting. In fact it was so good, I would go out of my way to include it in future frosting recipes, and I’ve even heard of people using it to make sugar cookies! Oh my, doesn’t that sound good?!
Bailey’s has a TON of great recipe ideas over here on their website which I look forward to trying as well. Caramel Cream Lava Cakes? I’m in!
