To further convince me of their total haircare coolness and introduce me to their salon quality products, Savings.com and Folica.com have asked me to review the Sedu Icon Styling Iron.  Of course I jumped at the chance, and I have to say…I’m in love!
Now, in order to really give you guys the best review of this baby, you need to know my hair history.  I’m a no frills girl so I like my styles to be easy and quick.  Essentially I’m a big fan of sleep and the quicker I can do my hair, the more shut-eye I can squeeze in.  My hair is also very fine and straight, so any help I can get in the volume, body and curl department is a major plus. 
First of all, this flat iron is fail proof.  It has clear markings on the sides showing where to put your fingers, as well as easy to use heat controls that allow you to choose the appropriate settings for your hair.  As I have fine hair, having heat control is a must as I can easily singe my strands easily if the iron is too hot.   I’m also not especially advanced in the hairstyling department, so having the finger placement markers was a huge help on correctly holding this bad boy.
 
Now, what really sells this Sedu to me is the fact that it has ceramic plates and is ionic.  That means that at the same time it is de-frizzes your hair, it’s also protecting it!  It also makes for a super smooth styling experience – no snags, or pulled hairs here.  After using it, my ‘do was super smooth, shiny and tre-chic.  I felt like I’d stepped right out of the salon, yet I’d never left the house.
The other lovely thing about this flat iron?  It’s versatility.  Because it’s easy to hold I could effortlessly use this bad boy to curl my hair as well as well as straighten.  No more awkward arm poses with the curling iron for me!  In less than 10 minutes I had a full head of Shirley Temple curls that looked sleek and shiny.
Needless to say, I am completely sold on this styling iron.  It’s now a must-have addition to my morning routine.

  10. thnx for the info, I personally prefer the Karmin G3 Salon pro which is the best one I’ve tried, it causes less damage than others and leaves my hair smooth, shiny, soft, frizz less and very straight. 😀
