I love food. No, I mean I really love food. It’s been with me in times of great joy, serious depression, boredom, happy, sad, mad, angry, complacent, you name it, it’s been there. My waist line has the inches to prove it, and that’s not always a good thing. So it’s time to change my food mood and focus on getting healthier and dropping some pounds. To my delight, the lovely people at Reader’s Digest have created just the method for me to do that!
It’s called The Digest Diet, and I’ve just completed the first phase. It works as a clearing of the slate of sorts and jump starts your weight loss by focusing on the nutrition derived from foods that have been scientifically proven to help you shape up. I won’t lie, it was HARD, but only because I’d become so set in my bad habit ways. I did have to make some minor adjustments to the food (I’m picky like that), but really focused on the foods they recommended as “fat releasers.” And what do you know? It works! I dropped 6 pounds in 4 days. For a girl who thought she’d seen it all diet wise, this type of immediate weightloss was a first. It’s hard to ignore results like that, so I’m looking forward to what phase 2 brings!
The other awesome thing about this diet? I’m not alone in the results department – this diet has worked for many people, some of which I was able to meet while at BlogHer this year. Here is a little video showcasing some of their amazing progress:
If you’d like to get fit with The Digest Diet too, you can head on over here to order your copy of the book. They’ll even let you try it for 14 days FREE, and if you don’t like it you can return the book with no payment owed.
