i was slimer from ghostbusters when i was about 4. it’s awfulness made it awesome.it was me in a green sheet with my head poking through and smelly green paint smeared randomly all over my face.
It was so many years ago, hard to remember but I did one time dress as a Hobo man and went to my daughters school for her party like that and she was terribly embarrassed
I remember one year we dressed up as scarecrows and we had hay falling out everywhere! It was great.
My best and most detailed was a cow. I had the utters, tail, nose, and a cow bell. It was so cute!
My favorite was when I simply took gore makeup from Party City and put that on my face. It was a bit of work but looked really icky and scary.

I was Minnie Mouse when I was in the 2nd grade. And that was probably one of my favorites. I also had a great genie costume. It was very pretty. My mom made all our costumes every year. One year, I was a witch but loved the bottom and sleeves of it more. So what my mom did was buy me another one (the exact same costume) and sewed the sleeves on the one I already had and the bottom to, well, the bottom. It had some many “edges” that I wore it day in and day out for a week!

When I was a kid I had the most beautiful mermaid costume. Still my favorite – mostly because I don’t have the figure anymore to pull that kind of costume off.
I went as a milk carton when I was in 4th grade. I will always remember that one.
My Mom made our costumes every year…once she made one of my brothers and myself be a pair of dice…what she didn’t take into account is that we had to walk up a lot of hills to front doors, and couldn’t see our feet going up to the door, or leaving…LOTS of falling down and missing candy… other kids followed us just to get our loot…lol..

One year in high school, I went as the tooth fairy. It was kinda fun threatening to knock peoples teeth out to meet my quota.
2 years ago my family did an Alice in Wonderland theme. My daughter was Alice, my husband the White Rabbit, my Mom the Cheshire Cat, and I was the Queen of Hearts! We looked great! I love when a whole group does a theme, it makes it more fun! Next year our second child will be here so we are doing my daughter (who has long blonde curly hair) as Goldielocks and me, my husband, and our 2nd child as the 3 bears! lol
