It’s September – and you know what that means! Christmas is right around the corner and it’s time to start planning your holiday gifts shopping list. One major tool I plan on using this holiday season is layaway. With many stores switching no fee’s and longer contract times for the holidays, this is an awesome way to budget and plan without the penalty or interest you’d suffer by using a credit card.
One of my all time favorite layaway programs is at Kmart! Not only are they offering their free layaway program for the holidays, they have layaway available all year (versus just during the holiday season at many other retailers). They also have the ability to place items on layaway online. That’s right, online, meaning you can shop and place all of your items on an 8 week hold all from the comforts of home. They also offer an expanded assortment of areas to shop from, which means you aren’t restricted to just electronics or toys. Awesome!
I’m looking at putting quite a few items on layaway this season, including MP3 players for the girls and some new headphones for the Coach:
And that’s not all! Right now is Kmart’s Big Layaway Giveaway This means that now through November 17th, Kmart will be giving prizes away to eligible winners with items on layaway.
