With Spring upon us, I thought it appropriate to remind everyone that there’s no time like Spring Cleaning to purge your stockpiles and donate to a well deserving cause…
One of the most rewarding aspects of couponing is the ability to live frugally and still have plenty left to share with others. And, if you’re like me, and you’ve got an overgrown stockpile, you’re always on the lookout for places that could use the extra toothbrush or two or maybe even those 14 boxes of cereal left over from the 40 you bought and are now sick of…
One of those places is the River City Food Bank. This organization is currently the only food bank that is open every weekday to anyone experiencing hunger regardless of where they live in the county and are open 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. It has been estimated that this particular organization served more than 41,500 people last year, 30% of which were for infants and children. The number of seniors and first time clients getting their food here is also on the rise as joblessness continues to spread.
RCFB is always in need of:

You can also drop them off at your local Good Will Express (find a location nearest you),which is the most convenient way for me to make my donations. Just make sure you let them know that your items are for the food bank!
