***Update: After much backlash, Brita has now posted this on their Facebook page:
“Hi Brita fans! Great news to report: We will be honoring all the mail-in rebates that were recently available! We apologize for all the inconvenience this caused. Thanks for you patience and sticking with Brita. Enjoy your rebates!”

Ugh, I hate reporting stuff like this 🙁 It is so disappointing, not to mention irritating when companies go back on their word! As of right now Brita has stated on their Facebook page that they will no longer be honoring the rebate. They have no excuses or explanations for why right now, but considering the comments being left on their Facebook page I hope they will post more information soon.
